We all know about the nutritional value of Raagi. As it is rich in natural iron and calcium. It provide required nutrition to growing bones of baby.
Good thing is easy to digest and can be given to baby in evening or noon time. Raagi keeps your child stay full for a longer time.
Those who are from Bihar must be familiar with the name "Maruua Ka Atta". Raagi roti is eaten before a religious fasting festival in Bihar, as it keeps you full for longer time.
It also helps baby in gaining weight. We know so many nutritional value of Raagi , however don't know how to feed our baby.
The real nature of Raagi is cold, so if your child is having cough , cold and fever than avoid for few days.
Rest days, it's a wonderful food.
Children love sweet dish , so here we are with a Sweet Raagi Apple Porridge/Halwa".
Recipe
- Take 2 tsp Raagi
- 1 tsp sugar
- 400 ml water
- 1/2 tsp ghee
- 2 small apple or 1 big apple
Preparation time 20 minutes
Process
- Peel the apples cut in small pieces and grind in mixer grinder and prepare a puree and keep it aside.
- Now heat the kadahi and add 1/2 tsp ghee
- when ghee gets hot pour 2 tsp raagi and stir for 5 minutes
- Now pour 400 ml water in kadhai and keep steering to avoid any lump.
- As it starts boiling add 1 tsp sugar and mix it well.
- Off the stove and let the halwa cool for 10 to 15 minutes
- Now halwa is at room temprature add apple puree and mix it well
- Raagi Apple Halwa is ready to serve.
